Laguiole Fontenille Pataud knife

At Fontenille Pataud, tradition and excellence have been our guiding principles for several generations. Our Artisan Cutlers traditionally handcraft exceptional knives, thus perpetuating the tradition of the Thiers region.
Proud of our artisanal manufacturing in France, we create durable products that are passed down from generation to generation.
It is in this spirit that we designed the Laguiole Nature, offering safe use thanks to its blade-locking system.
Much more than a simple knife, your Fontenille Pataud is a faithful lifelong companion. All our pieces are made in Thiers, the capital of cutlery French.
With a century of knife-making expertise, we are committed to prioritising quality over quantity in our production, thus following the rules of the craft.
We train apprentices and are proud of our team of craftspeople who master the art of freehand work. Since 1929, the Fontenille Pataud house has specialised in the manufacture of very high-end cutlery and table cutlery, using fine materials such as ebony, horn and ivory. Some of our models can still be seen today at the Thiers cutlery museum.
